To See The Beautiful World, Post COVID-19

By Pamela Nandi | July 14, 2020

Since last few months, I have been reading some discussion forum in social media about how can we safely explore the world or what are the safe destinations?

Here are some of my takeaways.

We all know that the world has come to a halt due to COVID-19 outbreak and adversely affecting the Travel & Tourism sector. A few countries are starting to welcome international travellers and a handful of the coronavirus-free nation may permit tourists to travel domestically. But travelling abroad will be not be permitted soon.

A few Scandinavian countries and Baltic states may allow inter-state travel between themselves. Least-affected countries by coronavirus like Georgia, Austria, Croatia, Portugal, have come up with various schemes and few are offering best deals for the tourists to steal in terms of accommodation, transport, sightseeing etc. to visit once the coronavirus pandemic is over. New Zealand and Australia have committed to introducing a “COVID-safe travel zone”. Internationally, some destinations require proof of a negative COVID-19 test, health certificate, partial quarantine etc. Few marketing campaigns are offering about refunding the money in case if anybody testing positive for COVID-19.

Starting from safety measures carried at airports to minimize the risks of contagions and intensive cleaning like fogging the aircraft with electrostatic disinfectant, mandatory pre-requisites check for boarding like face coverings, temperature check by the airlines, there are a number of restrictions still remain if you are geared to tie your shoelaces and head off with your backpacks.

Some key prevention measures, like the coverage of travel and medical insurance eg disruption of aviation, hotel unavailability etc., carrying sanitizing kit, check hotel protocols how they’re responding to COVID-19, avoid the over-crowded place, practice social distancing are mandatory.

Trips to National Park, or seaside vacations while staying in private villas can make your dream holidays memorable while obeying the ‘new normal’ protocols.

Travel safe and have super-chilled-out vacation globetrotters !!!
