The countdown has begun – and the city is decked up to shower warm welcome to the biggest festival – Durga Puja. It’s Goddess Durga’s homecoming with her children after a long wait which also marks the homecoming of millions of Bengalis as well.
This grand festival – Durga Puja always brings me to cherish childhood memories spent with my friends and families starting from Mahalaya mornings, the drumbeats, small excitements – despite the rapidly growing crowd on the roads and waiting in the long queue in front of the eateries lined up on the streets.
No Indian festival is complete without food and City Of Joy – the paradise for food lovers indulges into this essence to welcome the festival with some eclectic cuisines infused with love served by some noted eateries in Kolkata.
