Welcome to Surfire – The Coastal Cafe to indulge your buds with the southern flavours – a 32 seater eatery located near Mudiali Club and Menoka Cinema, Southern Avenue.
The cafe has launched a new dining concept that brings all the unique culinary techniques packed with a mouthful of flavours collected from the best of South Indian Veg and Non-Veg cuisines across the states.

The cafe not only restricted its menu as a decent quick stop for basic South Indian dishes – vada sambar but moves few steps further by presenting the curries and hearty shakes that is definitely going to floor every guest visiting the cafe. The cafe has established the mission to take a food trip around the regions of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Goa with its recipes flowing from the kitchens curved by the ‘mothers’ over generations.
Coming to the decor –
The entrance of the cafe sprawls to L-shaped dining area with pale yellow colour tones on the walls and high ceilings are not the only eye soothing, but gives a spacious look and feel to the decor.
The glossy finishes on the wooden accessories add the right touch to red matte finish contrast tones of the dining table decoratives, the little condiment pots with Southern influence and the fine dining style cutlery which makes the cafe ambience more inviting and warm to the guests, thus giving a homely feel.

The vibrant colours of wall art prints on the high pillars, abstract in nature break the monotonous look of the yellow effect all around.
A section of the dining area on the right of its entrance is staged for live musical performance. The cafe is housed with a wall projector screen to project recorded events to the diners.
Ishani Priyadarshini and Mukund Balachandran – the masterminds behind the design have brilliantly presented her gastronomic skills to treat the palate with flavours of different lands – an outcome of her longtime hard work and research.
They have established a great example to tantalise the buds of Kolkata Coffee
☕️ Fanatics by setting up South Indian Filter Coffee Maker – the frothy texture and the strong, rich aroma of the freshly brewed ground coffee touched my
☕️ soul. Definitely going to boost your morning dose of energy.
