The walls are decked up with great compositions that definitely throws a taste of nostalgia for the Indian street foods. The high quality enlarged collages drives every guest through the bylanes of Dacres Lane, College Street, JamaMasjid.

The mild brownish colour tones of the accessories perfectly go with the ambience. The pendant and the decorative tuni lights made the ambience very spectacular to lift the mood to a typical dhaba style with a desi cocktail bar.

The flavours inspired by the Street Hawkers and the Century Old Roadside Cafe travels from extreme west to pamper the buds with the signature Dhokla Chatin order to mark the distinctive Gujarati culture and Samosa Chatsfrom North West frontier, Mumbai drive wala Pav Bhaji, then touches the narrow bylanes of Lucknow, Kandahar, Peshawar, Amritsar to indulge into its rich smoky kebabs and tikkas, routes to boost Southern influence of coastal style deep fries and finally ends it journey at the City Of Joy – considered as a heaven for Street food Lovers to establish the iconic Bong Fish Fry on the platter.

On the Main Course front, the tale captures the essence of Kolkata’s business district – Dacres Lane Stewand stretches few miles more to knock the doors of Royal Calcutta Biryani and then gears its seatbelt back to Ludhianaand historic Kake Da Hotel to redefine its authentic meaty affairs for the food hunters.
The journey kicked off with Spicery signature mocktails followed by small and large plate bites.

No doubt that this is the most tempting popular street food of North West Frontier. A splash of chilled yoghurt mixed with dry spices, sweet and sour chutney on a crumbled samosa makes it an extremely lip-smacking chat.

Spicery revisited on the occasion of Bloggers Meet
Visited this place once as a patron and really honoured to a part of their bloggers meet twice.
When the city is flooded with a bunch of interesting cafes, themed pubs, this one-stop Street Food restaurant stands out in the bustling city to please the crowd. It’s none other than the Spicery – from the noted hospitality brand Speciality Group Of Restaurant.

The man behind the curtain who presented his level of culinary creativities and imaginations since the last 25 years by stealing the heart of Kolkata Food Lovers is Mr Anjan Chatterjee.
It’s been just a month old, Spicery has successfully geared up to take its dinners through the delicious rundown of authentic street food – an ultimate travel guide for food walk through the streets of India.

A bunch of simple roadside feast to enjoy under the same roof by keeping its texture, aroma and taste intact and in addition includes a wide array of cocktail selection with a desi twist.

Our delicious journey kicked off with some refreshments – hearty signature cocktails – Gondhoraj Melon Cooler, Sweet Nariyal Martini, Shikanjeeroshka.

A platter of small bites – Spinach Chat, Samosa Chat, Mutton Cutlet, Kalicut Chicken Lolipop, Tunde Kebbab. In a few words, its a plate of the street food lovers paradise.
Spinach Chat–
Nothing like I have ever tasted before. Deep Fried Palak leaves battered in besan and drizzled with coriander chutney, onions, chat masala. Unique and mind-blowing.
Mutton Cutlet–
A taste of nostalgia on the plate. The word ‘cutlet’ takes you back to cherish the memories of Indian Coffee House food style. Moist spicy meat deeply fried enveloped with breadcrumbs.

The final leg of the journey ended with sumptuous meaty treats, assorted bread and the Malai Kulfi.
Keema Kaleji –
Yes, this was the showstopper. A rich curry dish coming from Grand Mom’s kitchen – minced mutton slowly cooked along with liver chunks and that’s what makes this dish an incredible one. Goes best with chapatis and rice.
And now coming to the sweet note –
Malai Kulfi–
Stood out due to its extra rich and intense flavour packed with whole milk, heavy cream, khoya and chopped nuts. Very dense and creamy.
