This is one-stop food shop – a hidden gem located @Ballygunj Place. The landmark is a bit tricky – take the lane beside 6, Ballygunj Place and when you hit straight to the end of the blind lane just take a look on your left, you can see the glowing Mad Hatter’s cafe.
This is my second visit to the cafe on the occassion of Bloggers Meet.
The cafe is located on the first floor of the building – a nice cosy place to hang out with the friends.
The ambience is impressive too with lots of paintings, handcrafted showpieces all around.

To show the love for Mangoes, the cafe is celebrating the summer Mango Mania through its specially curated ‘The Aam Katha’ menu with a touch of mango in its every delicacies starting from smoothies, salads, salsa, dips and desserts.
The Aam Katha Menu
As we all know the fruit that can beat the scorching heat is none other than but the one and only MANGO – The King Of Fruits.

The man behind the culinary show is Mr Shonojit Mondal – MasterChef of the cafe, who has brilliantly executed his gastronomical skills by bringing the sweet flavours from nature to the plate in order to satisfy the taste buds of mango lovers.
The Mango infused delicacies from the Aam Katha Menu –
Fresh Mango Smoothies – Juicy and fabulous creamy smoothie blended with fresh mangoes chunks and yum vanilla ice cream. A perfect shake to start your day with a flavorful fruit as breakfast and a summer afternoon chiller as well.

*Veg salad comes without the prawn
Tangy Chicken – A Thai-inspired dish. Spicy and sweet stir-fried chicken flavoured in a delicious combination of tangy peppery mango sauce served with herbed rice and stir-fried green veggies and coloured bell peppers.

Orange Mango Chicken – Spicy Grilled Chicken Breasts glazed with homemade orange mango sauce served to give an island flavour with a lively taste. The dish is accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes, stir-fried bell peppers, baby corn and mango orange sauce on the side. Extremely appetizing full meal for summer lunch or dinner.

Salsa Bhetki – First of all, it’s drop-dead delicious. Nothing tastes like a freshly grilled bhetki tossed in a lemon butter sauce – the delicate flavours are always a treat to every taste buds. Served with herbed rice, grilled bell peppers and a bowl of fresh and flavourful mango salsa on the side.

Mango Delight – Super cool creamy layered dessert made with Mango pulp and vanilla flavoured whipped cream. An absolute delight for mango lovers.
Last but not the least, the cafe not only restricted its delicacies infused with Mango Mania, but geared up to treat their guests with crispy, fresh, savoury fritters which comes as a big platter named as ‘Monsoon Fritters‘.
A warm welcome to the monsoon, right here knocking at the door with a hearty platter. A perfect savoury light feast to enjoy with a hot cuppa on a rainy day.
